Terms & Conditions
Rascal Design | Terms & Conditions
1. Working Together
By booking a service with Rascal Design, you’re agreeing to these Terms & Conditions. They exist to make sure we both know what to expect and can work together smoothly.

2. The Brief (This Bit Is Important)
Your completed brief is the foundation of the project. Please ensure it is considered and you're committed to it when submitting. It guides all creative decisions and is treated as approval to proceed.
It’s important that your brief is:
-
Clear
-
As detailed as possible
If key information is missing, vague, or changes significantly once work has started, this may:
-
Affect timelines
-
Require additional charges
-
Be treated as a new project if the direction changes entirely
Think of the brief as pre-approving the direction - the clearer it is, the smoother the process and the better the outcome.

3. Changes to Scope
Requests that fall outside the original brief or significantly change the agreed direction are not included in the original project. These will reset timescales and may be quoted as additional work or a new project.

4. Revisions
All branding and design services include up to 3 rounds of revisions.
A revision round is where I present you with an idea/update and you provide feedback (either approving or suggesting edits)
Further revision rounds are always available and charged at an additional fee per round.

5. Payment
Payment details will be agreed before work begins. You will pay by bank transfer. Final files will be supplied once payment has been received in full.

6. File Delivery & Use
Once payment is complete, you’ll receive your final designs in high-resolution, industry-standard file formats suitable for their intended use.
Drafts, unused concepts, and working files remain the property of Rascal Design unless otherwise agreed.

7. Fonts, Images & Licences
Some designs may use fonts, imagery, or assets that require a licence which Rascal Design will have obtained. Where applicable, you’ll be responsible for purchasing and maintaining these licences unless stated otherwise.

8. Taste, Opinion & Liability
While I apply established, objective design principles, strategy, professional judgement, human intuition and refined creative expertise to every project, I can’t be held responsible for business outcomes, loss of revenue, or personal dissatisfaction due to a subjective misalignment in taste or preference.
This is why the briefing stage is so important - I design based on the direction you approve, not guesswork.

9. Cancellations
If a project is cancelled after work has begun, payment will be due for the work completed up to that point. Digital design work is non-refundable once started.

10. Portfolio Use
I may showcase design work in my portfolio, website, or social media, unless you explicitly request otherwise in writing.

11. Confidentiality
Any confidential information you share will only be used for the purpose of completing your project.

12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.
